Today we're going to talk about a term that sometimes confuses customers and makes them think about the weather more than it does their labels.
Wind direction is the orientation of your label as it is coming off the roll. This is highly important when you're applying labels by machine because you don't want to end up, with a label applied upside down or sideways.
Now, wind direction doesn't matter as much if you're applying your labels by hand. But it will be very important when your business starts growing and you need to switch to a machine applicator. So it's worth considering now.
Now there are eight wind directions to choose from, but most customers only need to consider options one through four. These options have the artwork on the outside of the, roll because the curve of the roll makes it easier for, the label to release during application. Five through eight mirrors the first four directions, except the artwork wraps around on the inside of, the roll with the liner on the outside.
These options offer the benefit of protecting the label from the outside elements during the application. Wind direction depends completely on the machine specs and your container. If you're still not sure, go ahead and contact your co-packer and they'll get you pointed in the right direction. If you need more information, click here to help you get started.

Quick tips for eBay sellers
You know over the years eBay has added a lot of great features to the eBay selling experience, but without a doubt, my favourite has to be the eBay print label tool.
now whether you sell an item every now and then or several items a day, the eBay print label tool will save you a lot of time and money with just a few clicks you can print out a postage-paid address label for your buyer's package.
Check the box, next to the sold item for which you want to print a label under the actions column select print shipping label from the drop-down menu on the next page.
Click the link for printer and label receipt preferences select the type of printer you will use to print postage unless you have one of the specialized printers on the list using the default any laser or inkjet printer check that all the information on the page is correct the carrier and service the weight and dimensions of the package and the shipping date.
Make any changes if needed when all the information has been checked click the purchase postage button follow the instructions from there for printing out your label payment for your label will be automatically deducted from your PayPal account.
Here's our label it has the buyers address our return address barcode and the carrier and service selected. The other half is a receipt that shows the tracking number and the amount paid for the label note that once purchased the tracking number assigned to your label is automatically and immediately uploaded to eBay.
You can see it in my eBay selling sold in addition your buyer will receive an order updating email with the tracking number. It will show up in the purchase history section of his my eBay page having this tracking number on the record will give you and your buyer peace of mind.
You can both track the progress of the package by clicking on this link. Once printed cut the label in half save the receipt side for your records place the label half on the box and attach it with clear tape like this. You can either bring the label package to your carrier to drop off or you can schedule a pick up at your home or business location.
Now, if you sell more than a few items a day you may want to upgrade from plain paper to the speciality eight-and-a-half by eleven adhesive labels which will eliminate the need for tape.
If you sell, even more, you may want to pick up one of these speciality label printers they print on six by four adhesive labels and there you have it printing and paying for postage on eBay couldn't be easier.
